Traditional Thai Massage

An Ancient Practice of Movement, Balance, and Wellness

Traditional Thai Massage, also known as Nuad Thai, is an ancient bodywork practice originating in Thailand. Influenced by traditional Thai medicine, yoga, and Ayurvedic traditions, it combines assisted stretching, acupressure, rhythmic movement, and mindful bodywork.

Unlike traditional table massage, Thai Massage is performed fully clothed on a comfortable floor mat. Often described as “assisted yoga,” the practitioner guides the body through gentle movements and stretches to encourage relaxation, flexibility, mobility, and body awareness.

The Tradition Behind Thai Massage

Traditional Thai Massage is rooted in principles of balance and connection between the body and mind. Traditional Thai medicine includes the concept of Sen lines, which are described as energy pathways within the body and are an important part of the traditional practice.
