SHIFT Method (Pilot Program)

Soft Tissue Healing & Integrated Functional Technique

Now available in both Chair (20 min) and Table (30 min) Massage Formats

What is the SHIFT Method?

The SHIFT Method is a clinically developed soft tissue technique designed to deliver targeted therapeutic relief in a short, focused session. Created through collaboration between massage therapists, chiropractors, physical therapists, and other clinical practitioners, SHIFT combines proven techniques—such as trigger point therapy, pin-and-stretch, and muscle re-education—to improve muscle function, restore mobility, and reduce pain.

SHIFT is offered in two professional formats to meet the needs of both clients and clinics:

• 🪑 Chair Massage Format – 20-minute session performed fully clothed, no oils or lotions, ideal for busy environments and quick relief.

• 🛏️ Table Massage Format – 30-minute session performed on a massage table with lotion or oil, ideal for deeper work and broader treatment areas.

Both formats use the same SOAP-based clinical documentation, and follow a structured therapeutic session that includes assessment, manual therapy, and client integration.

SHIFT is currently being offered as a pilot program through Holistic Massotherapy LLC. We’re inviting individuals, clinics, and wellness providers to experience SHIFT and provide valuable feedback as we refine and expand this innovative approach to therapeutic massage.

Why SHIFT is Different

• Therapeutic, Not Just Relaxing

Unlike traditional massage, SHIFT is designed to provide measurable relief from musculoskeletal issues like neck, back, and shoulder pain.

• Targeted Techniques

We use clinical soft tissue methods such as trigger point release, pin-and-stretch, and muscle elongation to treat stiffness, alleviate pain, and improve movement.

• Efficient & Convenient

SHIFT sessions are structured to deliver results fast—whether chair or table. Perfect for busy people who need effective treatment in less time.

Two Formats. One Clinical Standard.

SHIFT is available in two treatment formats based on your needs and the clinic’s setup:

🪑 Chair Massage Protocol – 20 Minutes

• Fully clothed

• No oils or lotions required

• Ideal for workplace settings or quick, focused relief

🛏️ Table Massage Protocol – 30 Minutes

• Performed on a massage table using lotion or oil

• Access to full-body or region-specific treatment areas

• Ideal for clients needing deeper, more comprehensive work

Both formats include structured SOAP documentation using the S.H.I.F.T. method:

Subjective, History, Inspection, Focused Technique, Treatment Plan

How SHIFT Works (Pilot Session Breakdown)

SHIFT sessions—whether 20-minute chair or 30-minute table—are designed to deliver results quickly and efficiently. Here’s what to expect:

1. Brief Assessment (2–4 minutes)

Quick consultation to identify key areas of discomfort and functional goals.

2. Focused Manual Therapy (Chair: 14 min / Table: ~20–22 min)

Hands-on techniques such as trigger point release, pin-and-stretch, and soft tissue mobilization applied directly to the affected areas.

3. Soft Tissue Reset + Movement (Chair: 2–4 min / Table: 4–6 min)

We conclude with guided movement or integration techniques to help reset muscle function and support lasting results.

4. Return to Your Day

No downtime required. You’ll feel more mobile, more relaxed, and ready to move through your day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is this a regular massage session?

No—SHIFT is a focused, therapeutic protocol designed to deliver clinical results in short, structured sessions. It’s targeted care, not general relaxation.

Q: What’s the difference between the Chair and Table formats?

Chair sessions are 20 minutes, fully clothed, and ideal for fast, focused care.

Table sessions are 30 minutes and performed on a massage table using lotion or oil for deeper or more comprehensive treatment.

Q: Can I choose between the two formats?

Yes. You can choose based on your comfort level, treatment goals, or what your clinic is set up to provide.

Q: Do I need to undress or use oils?

Only for the table format. The chair version is fully clothed with no lotions. The table format uses lotion or oil for enhanced tissue work.

Q: Can this be used in my clinic or program?

Absolutely. We are actively piloting SHIFT in chiropractic, physical therapy, and workplace wellness settings. Contact us to explore partnership opportunities.
