Genilla Corkery, Licensed Massage Therapist

About Me

I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and holistic bodyworker based in Milford, Connecticut, with a background rooted in both clinical and community-based care. My journey into wellness began with early studies in children with mental and physical disabilities at Housatonic Community College, followed by hands-on experience at Bridges Mental Health Care Center in 2000. I later worked for several years as a one-on-one paraprofessional within Milford Public Schools, collaborating with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists to support student development and functional independence.

My approach to care is shaped by both professional training and lived experience in service. I am a graduate of Joseph A. Foran High School and a long-time Milford resident, with additional experience volunteering in community support settings, including the Milford Bethel Shelter.

In 2024, I became a Licensed Massage Therapist, with training in deep tissue, myofascial release, orthopedic techniques, cupping, assisted stretching, reflexology, and trauma-informed touch. I also hold certifications as a Reiki Practitioner and Medical Intuitive.

My work integrates Ashiatsu barefoot massage, Thai bodywork, reflexology, and trauma-informed techniques to address muscular tension, improve mobility, and support nervous system regulation. Each session is designed to be intentional and results-focused, helping clients experience meaningful improvements in how their body moves, functions, and feels.
